Rave Review: Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream

I have been using a new face cream for about the past month and I am hear to tell you ALL about it. I am so in love with this product. After hearing really amazing reviews and I had to try it for myself. I am very particular about what goes onto my skin. The reason being that my skin is hyper-sensitive and very dry. The wrong product can throw my skin into a downward spiral.

I usually do allow myself to spend more $$ on skincare products, because I feel like they are the basis for how your skin will look not only without makeup but with makeup as well. It is your canvas, your foundation. The reason I talk about pricing right off the hop is because this little gem runs around $55.00USD for 50ml | 1.7 fl oz.

I know how shelling out that much for a face cream can seem outrageous, but that's why product reviews are so great. They aid future purchasers in making buying decisions. So I hope you find this review helpful.

Let's get it out of the way and talk about the packaging. After all I am a sucker for great packaging, especially when it comes to skincare. One amazing feature of this product is in fact the packaging. Not just because of the beautiful lavender jar, but take a closer look when you remove the lid to see why I love it.

The skincare friendly packaging is because the pump keeps the product inside the jar contamination free. You don't have to dip your fingers in and the product itself exposed to the air. This can lead to all kinds of skin problems if bacteria gets into the product. I also love this specific pump because it gives you just the right amount of product each time to cream your entire face.

I also love this cream, because of the goat milk ingredient, which contains Lactic Acid. Lactic Acid is a natural exfoliant, helps with hyper-pigmentation and improves the overall texture of the skin. There is Jojoba and Avocado, which help to soften and hydrate the skin. Aloe to calm the skin while Grapeseed Oil acts as a antioxidant to protect the skin from free radicals.

I will say that after using this cream for the past month or so I do notice a big difference in the texture of my skin. It is so much softer and I do notice that my skin feels and looks really hydrated. I use it in the mornings after I have cleansed my face and I love how light the cream is and how quickly it absorbs. Yet after creaming my face my skin feels almost like I have a had a facial. It's miraculous.

Before I purchased this product I had heard all these wonderful things, but there was one downfall and it was the scent. I kept hearing that it was awful, but I honestly don't mind it at all. I will admit it does have a organic milky scent, but nothing too over the top.

All-in-all I am extremely happy that this product turned out to be all everything I heard it was and more! I love that I was able to work it into my skincare routine and I will definitely continue to use this product. This product has also given me the confidence I needed to purchase other Kate Somerville products.

I recommend trying this if you have dry-sensitive skin and are looking for a light, but hydrating moisturizer. I picked mine up at Sephora.

  2. Very informative review you have here! I love how hygenic this moisturizer is, its not something you see often for moisturizers.
