Spring Manicure: How To Wear Pink & Mint!!!

It was an interesting morning around this household! The power went out really early and it definitely put a hold on the start to the day. We were without power for about 3.5 hours, which can really slow a person down. On the plus side we went out for a nice breakfast, so I guess I can't complain. Have you ever lost power for a significant amount of time??

Anyway, enough babbling!! Today I was feeling inspired to do something fun with my nails. I recently cut them off super short so it takes me awhile to get into them again until they grow out a bit, but today for some reason I wanted to try some nail art. Today I used mint, pink & white to create a bit of a mix-match manicure!! I think it's fun and light for this time of year and I really like the look of using a pink to accent mint!!

What I Used:

(left to right)

Orly in Basket Case
L'oreal in pistachio dream (I am obsessed with this polish, such a great color)
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in White On
Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Big Money
Dotting Tool
Nail Art Brush
Essie good to go top coat

Here's How:

Paint 2 coasts of pistachio dream on all nails and allow to dry.

On each ring finger paint a coat of Big Money.

Starting on the middle finger and using the nail art brush with Basket Case, paint a single stripe down the center of the nail.

From the center line draw 2 lines out towards the cuticle. You can use however much of an angle you like for this look.

Now using a clean art brush and White On draw 2 lines on either side of the pink.

Moving onto pinky finger and using the dotting tool with White On begin dotting around the cuticle all the way from nail base to tip, get create with the dotting pattern you use.

On the pointer finger paint the tip of the nail using the nail art brush and Basket Case. Allow to dry and then using the dotting tool and White On, paint dots within the pink stripe.

Next move to the thumb and paint random dots along the cuticle from base of nail to tip, using Basket Case.

Finish the manicure with your favorite top coat!! Mine, as always is Essie good to go!

Voila!! A fun spin on a minty manicure!! I hope you enjoyed today's manicure!!!

Will you be trying a version of this???
