Rave Review: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

I've never been the girl that washes her face while in the shower. I know that might be a strange thing, since it seems like the perfect place to scrub-a-dub-dub, but I have a perfectly laid out routine when it comes to my skincare and having my cleanser in the shower just won't do.

That was until I was walking down my local grocery store isle and spotted a travel size version of a product that I have wanted to try for ages! Feeling like it was my duty to not only give this product a try, but to hop the fence and try out this wash-my-face-in-the-shower-thing that everyone talks about.

The product that I speak of is Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser. I know it's not the most exciting product to share, but I feel like there is something to this little gem.

So into my shower I have gone, day after day. Disrupting my carefully drafted skincare routine for this drugstore cleanser.......

THAT I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF!!

It is the most luxurious drugstore cleanser I have ever used! I say that because of how gentle it is. This creamy dreamy gem doesn't rob the skin of any natural oils, which is great for me because I have insanely dry skin.

I also have to comment on the texture of the product itself. I know that might seem strange to talk about the 'texture' of a liquid, but I love how silky it feels. I literally get lost in the moment every time I wash my face. In alot of ways it reminds me of my regular cleanser, which is Philosophy's Purity Made Simple.

Don't get me wrong, I am by no means replacing my regular cleanser, but it sure is nice to be able to wash my face in the shower if I am in a hurry or if I am having one of my lazy days. Let's be real, we all have 'em.

It's also fragrance free and that is yet another great feature, because more times then not, anything that has a strong fragrance usually irritates and drys my skin out beyond recognition. It's a MUST that my cleanser be fragrance free.

So will I purchase a full size of this product? You bet! It's absolutely worth every penny and it comes with a pump, which I am more than excited about.

Have you tried Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser?

  2. I actually use this cleanser and love it!! It gets deep down and cleans my skin so well, but don't forget to moisturize afterwards. I have oily skin and this cleanser can sometime dry my skin out in the winter time, but I love it so much. c:

    1. Great tip. I have combo/oily skin so it's good to hear that it works for both types!
