What's In My Beach Bag?

The first day of summer is creeping up on us and with the summer season comes sand, warm waters, and that love affair with the summer sun!

I have been spending more time poolside then I would like to admit, but I can't help it. Getting that ever elusive soak of Vitamin D and when it's time to cool of a quick dip in the crystal clear aqua waters does the trick!

With all these trips to the pool I have my beach bag packed and ready to walk out the door at all times! I thought it would be appropriate to kick off all this summer fun with a What's In My Beach Bag video! You can see what I bring along with me and why!

I Finally Did It!!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I know I have been MIA again, but I can't seem to escape this never ending house organization!! It's been insane around this household. Anyway I wanted to stop by with a quick, but very exciting announcement!!

You can now officially check me out on YouTube!! I know I have been talking about it for quite some time, but yesterday something came over me and I figured I needed a jump off point! You can probably see my nerves, but I will practice, practice, practice!!!

Like I said before I am still setting up house and one of the rooms is my filming/beauty room, so excuse the bare wall behind me!! I am not sure what I want to do with that room yet!

My Week With Instagram

I can't believe this is the final day of March, this month flew by way too fast! I wanted to recap this week on Instagram!

With the Easter in mind I created a nail tutorial on Manicure Monday. I am so in love with this nail color, it really brings out a tan! I will be reaching for this color alot this summer! Be sure to check out my tutorial to find out more info if you haven't already!

I introduced my April blog theme this week and shared a yummy healthy recipe to kick it off! I can't wait to share more of April's theme!

I grabbed a few new beauty products this week, surprise surprise! I will have some reviews coming up soon! So watch for those!

Last but not least I picked up the juicer of my dreams! I am so in love!

My Week With Instagram

This was a really busy week. I felt really inspired this week with Spring just around the corner and with that I wanted to share My Week With Instagram. A look a my week in snapshots! I hope you all had a great week and an even better weekend. I am looking forward to what next week brings!

I picked up a few things at the drugstore this week! I can't wait to dive into these products and let you know what I think! Be sure to check out the post about my mini haul!

This week the Spring bug had bitten me and the Beach Cabana candle from Bath and Body Works was the perfect scent to have floating around the house. This candle scent is described as " The air under a beach cabana is filled with fragrant, sweet jasmine, orange blossom and a hint of fluffy white towels.' Sounds amazing right? Well it is! I recommend this one!

I had used up the last of my Victoria Secret Angel perfume sample this week and found myself needing more! I think this is going to be my Spring fragrance of choice! 

I discovered a fun tag that's going around right now! 25 Facts About Me Tag and so I decided to give it a go! It was a alot of fun to throw random facts about myself down on paper. It's a great way to get to know a bit more about someone! I tag you all! Don't forget to leave me a link so I can read about you! FUN!

25 Facts About Me Tag

I was recently reading a blog post from Lea or It's Such a Wonderful Life and she did the 25 Facts About Me Tag and I was really inspired after reading hers. It just seems like so much random fun and a great way to get to know little tidbits about eachother! So without further ado......

 1. I am a mommy to a beautiful 5 year old little girl named Madden (she is my mini me) and have been married to the most amazing man for the past 6 years.

2. I just moved from Edmonton, Alberta Canada to The Woodlands Texas USA. We moved because my husband took a relocation with his job. I must say I am enjoying the Texas weather. So long snow!!

3. I love love love sushi! I could eat it morning, noon and night. Everyday, for the rest of my life.

4. My guilty pleasure is reality TV. You name it, I love it.

5. I love music. It's one of the top 5 things in life that inspire me. I even have a CD and have heard my song played on the radio. One of my most proud days. Maybeeee one day I will share some of my music with you.

6. My all time favorite movie is Grease. I am sure I have every line memorized.

7. Someone I idolize is Jewel. To see her preform live was on my bucket list. Last Sunday I was able to get my hands on tickets to go see her on May 2. I am still freaking out about it!!

8. I am terrified of spiders. 8 legs is not normal.

9. I have had my tongue, belly button, and eyebrow pierced. I was young. He He

10. I love taking pictures. I am going to start sharing some more of my creative side on this blog!

11. I have had Lasik eye surgery. I also worked for a Lasik eye company and was a Surgical Assistant. Two very different experiences. Being on the table and behind the table.

12. I have a gluten intolerance. I have been gluten free now for 5 years! Reading ingredient labels is second nature to me.

13. I couldn't live without my iPhone. No joke.

14. I still have a baby tooth. HA HA! Weird I know, but hey it's me!

15. My celebrity crush right now is Eric Church. Gorgeous.

16. I have tattoos and want more. 

17. My favorite color is purple.

18. My least favorite thing to do is grocery shopping.

19. My best quality I would have to say is my sense of humor. I love making people laugh.

20. I am the biggest movie buff. I am always blurting out movie one-liners!

21. I got married in flip flops. It was one of the best decisions I ever made!

22. My favorite TV show right now is The Carrie Diaries. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea when I first heard about it. How could they go back in time on Sex and the City, but I am so glad they did. It's brilliant!

23. I grew up on a farm. It took me about 9 hours to cut our lawn. 

24. I love change, I constantly have to have it.

25. I am going to start a YouTube Channel soon. :)

Christmas Countdown [Gift Guide]: A Beauty Girl's Spa Stocking

It's that time of the year again and I wanted to add a segment to my blog called Christmas Countdown, where I will post gift guides, Christmas themed makeup looks, etc. To kick it off I thought I would do a gift guide for that girly-girl on your list.

I put together a list of 10 beauty items that would make a Spa Stocking, which would be great to give to a sister, mother, girlfriend on your list! As long as they are a beauty girl, I think this is a great gift idea! Mine is price range mix, some higher end products mixed with those easy drugstore pick ups!

The items I chose are ones that I thought I would love to get, but you can tailor the stocking to the person on your list! Here are some ideas to help you get started!

1. A Fab Stocking- You will want to pick out a really cute, girly stocking so that the whole idea ties together. I thought this glittery pink stocking would be a really cute idea, but again tailor it to the person you are giving it to! I have found amazing stockings at local drugstores or dollar stores even!

2. Sugar Rose Lip Treatment from Fresh- This is such a yummy luxiurious lip treat. It has a light rose fragrance which is really pretty and it is so hydrating, it's perfect for this time of year! 3. Anti-bacterial Sanitizing Hand Gel- These Pocket Bac's from Bath & Body Works are my favorite! I included these, because this time of year you are running around touching a million things doing shopping and you are in and out of people's homes in a season when the cold or flu is at a peak! These precious little sanitizers come in so many favorite Bath & Body Works scents and they always have the cutest artwork! LOVE! 5. St.Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask- I have raved about this product many times and I have used it for a few years now! It is the perfect mask to soften the skin and draw out impurities. 6. Bath & Body Works Candle- This is a great gift, because the Bath & Body Works candles come in so many different scents and sizes! You could add one giant candle or a few mini's! I chose the small size, because I thought it would be small enough for the stocking, but still offers 20-30 hours of burning time!! 8. The Comforter Bubble Bar- If you have followed my blog you know that I love, love, love Lush! I thought adding a Lush piece would add a nice touch, plus it will make the stocking smell amazing for that added touch when she opens it and again Lush has so many options for scents and pieces, finding something for your beauty girl should make this a shopping breeze! 10. Gel Mask- Last, but not least I think every girl should have one of these and it makes for a perfect stocking gift- Gel Mask. These are great, because you can put it on and say goodbye to puffiness, plus it's just down right relaxing!
